Visiting by train
Flimwell doesn't have a railway station. Stations close by are Stonegate (8.5km), Etchingham (7.5km) or Wadhurst (11km), all on the Hastings-London (Charing Cross) line. Taxis will need to be pre booked (Ticehurst cabs 01580 200180). If you have a prearranged visit or meeting, contact the Unit beforehand and we can arrange to pick you up.
Visiting by car
If travelling south: the WEC is a quarter of a mile south of the Flimwell traffic lights (A21/A268 junction). Take a right turn just before the car sales garage onto a track (signed Tate Fencing). As the track splits in two, take the right hand fork and follow the track round to the right. The WEC is on your left, behind the trees. Use the intercom to the High Weald AONB Unit.
If travelling north: 5km after Hurst Green, on the A21 look out for the car sales garage on your left. Take a left hand turn straight after the garage onto a track (signed Tate Fencing). Then as if travelling south.
