Features:
Collingwood covers a total area of 3 hectares and is a small woodland sanctuary centred around a lake. The wood was planted as part of the Collingwood House estate and as a result contains many exotic species amongst the native oaks, hornbeam, field maple, holly, yew and beech. The woods are frequented by tawny owls and nest boxes are regularly used by tits and spotted flycatchers. The lake has good natural vegetation with water lilies and bullrushes. Moorhens, wagtails, mallard and the occasional kingfisher can be seen using the lake.
