Saturday 21st May, 12-4pm, free, at the Ashdown Forest Visitor Centre.
A celebration of all things Ashdown; make a ‘horned’ sheep's headdress and your own charcoal sticks, join our fun drawing workshop, create a memento from brightly coloured fleece and explore ancient fire making, wild food, woodland craft demonstrations and archery as you learn how man lived off the Forest, past and present.
Then join a ‘flock’ that journeys through the Forest to decorate the giant sheep sculpture at the end of the day. There will also be a prize for the child who brings along the best home-made shepherd's crook.

The ‘flock’ will begin it’s procession from the Centre at 3.30pm, eight different activities will run throughout the afternoon, you could also join one of the tours around ‘Coppice Week’, to see traditional woodland craft demonstrations and a huge charcoal burn; the traditional way its been made for thousands of years!
Catering from Dinkyccino and Pizza Verde, the UK’s only log fired, mobile pizza oven, as well as delicious tea and cakes!
