Humans have shaped the landscape for tens of thousands of years. The Weald Forest Ridge LPS has helped local people care for their landscape in a wide range of ways.
The Weald Forest Ridge Landscape Partnership Scheme has been enabling people to learn about, enjoy and help preserve the unique heritage of this unique area of the High Weald AONB .
The Scheme has been delivering a diverse range of 30 projects across the 328sq km area of the Weald Forest Ridge from 2009 to 2012. These have included: free and subsidised events; training courses; programmes for schools; volunteering opportunities; and access and biodiversity improvements to local sites.
