Hargate Forest, Tunbridge Wells

This beautiful, sixty acre mixed woodland is just on the edge of Tunbridge Wells, if you would like to know more about events in the forest or get involved in practical conservation tasks caring for the site there is a variety of information on the Woodland Trust's pages telling you more about this accessible woodland.

Community Consultation

At Hargate Forest the Woodland Trust are carrying out community consultation to guide the work they are doing and allow it to reflect what they can do to get the most out of this project for locals.

Woodland Archaeology in Hargate Forest

During Autumn 2010, an archaeological survey has been carried out on the woodland, the results being available from early 2011.  The archaeology of the whole of the Weald Forest Ridge area is interesting, widespread and important.  The Scheme has also supported a range of archaeological projects across the area.
