Children from Lamberhurst school embraced a challenge to combine learning about the High Weald with speaking French! As part of a special partnership project with a French school, pupils ventured outside to locate minibeasts, build dens, play games and discover more about the landscape and history of the High Weald . Pupils had to locate various items including fleurs and coccinelles (flowers and ladybirds..) and explain, in French, what they enjoyed doing in the woods. The children then created powerpoint presentations and videos about their work, which have now been shared with their new French friends!
As part of this project, a suite of bi-lingual High Weald education resources has been produced - see the Wonderful Woodlands in French! page for details.
