Students at St Thomas’ Church of England Primary School, in Winchelsea, used the painting of Tobias and the Angel, by the workshop of Andrea del Verrocchio, to complete some High Weald Hero actions!

As part of a workshop, pupils were asked to find out about the landscape shown in Tobias and the Angel, in much the same way as they will now explore and find out more about the High Weald.

Other work included examining the ‘two sides of Winchelsea’ and noting the differences between the east and west of the area. Children studied maps of the local area and found out which features have stayed the same or changed over time.
