General Information:
St Mary's was one of the 4 schools to take part in the High Weald Sustainable 
Energy Day at Ashdown Forest in July 2011. Pupils learnt about where people from the past got their energy, discovered current sustainable energy alternatives e.g. woodfuel and then thought about renewable options for the future. Ancient fire making, solar car construction and following the journey of a wood chip were just some of the activities that the children took part in.
