General Information:
Hawkhurst school were one of the 6 schools to take part in the High Weald Sustainable Energy Project at Bedgebury Pinetum in March 2010. This interactive and informative event, organised by KHWP, allowed Key Stage 2 children to learn about historical energy sources in the local area and sustainable energy alternatives. Pedal power generators, solar cars, water themed games and quizzes were just some of the activities that the children took part in. Pre visit activities and classroom based resources were also supplied to the schools that took part.
