High Weald grants

The High Weald Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) is the High Weald Joint Advisory Committee's main grant scheme.

It aims to encourage individuals, community groups, schools businesses and parish councils to develop innovative projects that protect our beautiful High Weald landscape.

All sorts of projects are eligible for funding. The common thread is that they must demonstrate 'sustainability'. This means projects need to benefit the environment and communities and the local economy at the same time.

Supporting community events

that help people find out more about local heritage

Grant-aiding building projects

that use local materials such as coppiced timber

Reducing carbon emissions

through support for school energy projects such as the installation of solar panels

Conserving habitats

through support for traditional land management
