High Weald

living_woodsAre you interested in the history of your woodland? If so we can help with opportunities for people to find out more about how people have used and shaped local woods and the role that they, as individuals, can play in shaping the woodlands of the future.

Matt Pitts, the Community Woodland Officer, supported by professionals and volunteers, is offering the following:

  • Woodland heritage visits - that will help woodland owners recognise and understand woodland heritage features and their management needs.
  • Community events - that will help people find out more about the history of their local woodlands and features within them.
  • Training workshops - that will develop skills in researching, surveying and recording woodland features.
