Before we can help people look after the High Weald and appreciate why it is 
special, we need to understand it ourselves. This is the purpose of the over-arching research project. The project sets out a program of smaller projects and activities which aim to develop and build our evidence base. The evidence may help answer very specific questions or form part of wider investigations, answering more complex questions about the High Weald.

Delivering the evidence base also supports and helps our partners in their roles to conserve and enhance the AONB, such as planning authorities, and land managers, by developing the specialist advice they need.
