ESAMP (East Sussex Archaeology and Museums Partnership)
ESAMP seeks to offer a wide range of training and volunteer opportunities to individuals across the East Sussex. These placements are designed to give participants the skills to embark on careers within the archaeological, museums and environmental sectors.

Forest Schools in the Weald Forest Ridge
Run as part of the Weald Forest Ridge Land scape Partnership Scheme, Gatwick Greenspace Partnership and Sussex Wildlife Trust. Forest Schools focus for the Weald Forest Ridge provides opportunities to volunteer with bushcraft and forest schools training days. For those involved with teaching in the Weald Forest Ridge area there may be free training available to help your school gain 'Forest School' accreditation.

BTCV in the Weald Forest Ridge
If you live in the Weald Forest Ridge and would like to set up a local group, or join an existing group to care for your local outdoor places, BTCV in partnership with the Weald Forest Ridge Scheme would like to hear from you.
BTCV also run training and volunteer opportunities across East and West Sussex, Kent, Surrey and throughout the UK.

RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds)
There is an active group of conservation volunteers working regularly at Broadwater Warren, an RSPB reserve with interesting history and archaeology as well as wildlife. Volunteer tasks are varied and the reserve also hosts an enjoyable and informative events programme.

East Sussex County Council
County Council Rangers, Friends of Weir Wood and other conservation volunteers carry out regular work to improve Weir Wood Local Nature Reserve for visitors and wildlife. Much of the work is funded as part of the Weald Forest Ridge Landscape Partnership Scheme and over the winter of 2009/10 has included hedge laying, path building, scrub clearance and building tern rafts. A very friendly group carrying out worthwhile tasks.

Kent Wildlife Trust
A Weekly Volunteer group is being set up by the Weald Warden, Matt Hayes to help with the conservation management of a number of nature reserves in the Weald area. The tasks will run every Monday visiting different reserves and carrying out a wide range of practical conservation tasks ranging from Coppicing to Meadow Management.
