Resources to help teachers talk about renewable energy within the context of their local landscape area, the High Weald, are now available.
Originally produced for teachers and children involved in 'energy days' at Bedgebury Forest, the resources explore past, present and future energy sources in the area using wind, water, solar, wood and mechanical energy as themes.
The resources are downloadable and will be useful to any school planning a sustainable energy day or week.
School energy days
The High Weald Energy Project has been led by the Kent High Weald Partnership with support from the High Weald AONB Unit, the Bedgebury Pinetum Education team and volunteers, Commonworks, The Skinners School and The Real Events Co. The first 2 energy days were funded by the High Weald Sustainable Development Fund and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
