An advice note explaining the legislation and planning policies relevant to development proposals in the High Weald has been produced. This Advice Note aims to assist all those involved in such proposals, including developers and their agents as well as members of the public.
Importantly the Advice Note explains how the High Weald AONB Management Plan should be applied to development proposals, including a template to assist with testing such proposals against the objectives in the Management Plan. This template includes examples of how these objectives could be met or mitigation achieved. This template will be updated as our experience grows on how development proposals can help to meet the objectives of the Management Plan.
The intention is that this Advice Note will form the parent document for a number of further detailed advice notes about particular types of development and issues in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
