High Weald

using interpretationIt was important that evaluation was given due regard in Scheme delivery. There was a desire to identify elements such as key successes, challenges and lessons learnt: for the benefit of the Heritage Lottery Fund, the High Weald AONB Unit, Scheme partners, and a wider Landscape Partnership audience.

The broad objectives of the Weald Forest Ridge Landscape Partnership Scheme evaluative approach were hence:

  • To construct a narrative for the Scheme.
  • To test the oft quoted value of the landscape partnership approach – "that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts".
  • To evaluate successes, legacies, impacts and benefits.
  • To identify challenges and lessons learnt from the Scheme's delivery.

Consequently, a range of evaluative techniques were implemented, from 2009 through to 2012 and a  pdf Scheme Evaluation Report (5.21 MB)  has been produced.
