High Weald

Part-time administrator role, 3 month contract

We are seeking a temporary administrator to support the operation of two grant programmes which have been set up to help farmers, land managers and wider community conserve and enhance the medieval landscape of the High Weald and further public understanding and enjoyment of it.

As an Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • logging and checking applications
  • liaising with applicants if more information is needed
  • organising panel meetings
  • setting up grant recipients for payment on the East Sussex County Council financial system and helping process claims.

There may be scope within the role to support the team’s wider work.

Experience of financial and grant administration processes would be helpful but isn’t essential. The role would suit an organised person who likes working with systems, enjoys taking a methodical approach and pays attention to detail.

Location: The role offers a rare opportunity to work with a small, friendly team based in the innovative Woodland Enterprise Centre at Flimwell on the Kent/Sussex border.

Hours: 14 to 18 hours a week until the end of April 2023.
