Introduction: One of three nature reserves managed by the Powdermill Trust for Nature Conservation, this delightful small reserve is a delight to visit.
Location: Just south of Rotherfield, East Sussex, and located north of the B2101.
What can I do? Explore the small meadow and the adjacent, delightfully named, Cottage Hill Shaw.
What can I see? Look out for the typical High Weald plants flowering in the meadow, and the wide range of invertebrates that are associated with them.
What can I hear? Listen out for the sounds of great spotted woodpeckers in the shaw.
