Allen’s Farm Oast is situated in Mayfield, East Sussex in the heart of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; surrounded by gently rolling hills, magical woodlands and unspoiled views. It is located between Heathfield and the medieval village of Mayfield, both of which have excellent pubs and restaurants. The spa town of Tunbridge Wells is fifteen minutes by car and the coast is just twenty miles away.
The oast has four luxurious bedrooms. Guests can enjoy their morning coffee on the patio, looking out over open countryside. There's also a BBQ area, perfect to unwind on warm summer evenings surrounded by birds and butterflies. Footpaths run from the oast’s doorstep. The High Weald Landscape Trail, the South Down Way and Ashdown Forest are all close by. The beautiful Sussex countryside lends itself to cycling and walking. There are several fine National Trust properties in the area, as well as the wonderful gardens at Pashley Manor. The Heathfield Farmers market is well worth a visit. From the beginning of September the local bonfire societies run bonfire night celebrations in each others' villages - the largest and most famous procession taking place in Lewes on November 5th. For steam train enthusiasts local tracks include The Lavender Line, The Bluebell Railway and The Spa Valley. There is horse riding, fishing, golf, tennis, cricket and much more besides.
