Set in the heart of Benenden village, in the High Weald area of Kent, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Potting Shed nestles in a tranquil, romantic haven. Peace, comfort, greenery and bird song surrounds this 4- star accommodation for 2.
The Potting Shed is a small Kent barn, once used as the potting shed by plant collector, ornithologist and artist Capt Collingwood 'Cherry' Ingram. This was lovingly converted by Donald and Charlotte Molesworth in 2012 into a one bedroom holiday let.
The little barn is situated off the village green a few hundred yards West of the old parish church of St George's, down an unmade private track, yet within easy walking distance of 2 pubs, both of which serve food, a general stores and a popular butchers. A homegrown garden arrangement in each room and a welcome trug awaits you.
There are many well-marked footpaths in the parish taking you through the hidden treasures of the High Weald countryside. Some of the walks take you along the High Weald Landscape Trail which introduce you to the unique High Weald landscape features such as the rolling hills, orchards and woodlands.
