Local authorities with land in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB ) are legally obliged to produce an AONB Management Plan. The Plan is produced in line with Government guidance in consultation with a wide range of people and is reviewed every five years.

A review of the High Weald AONB Management Plan 2009-2014 is currently being undertaken and the new AONB Management Plan 2014 - 2019 will be published on 1 April 2014.
