Ardingly

Description: Ardingly (pronounced Ardingl-eye) lies on the road running north from Lindfield to Turners Hill. Home to Wakehurst Place Botanical Gardens and the Millennium Seed Bank, it is also known for the independent school, Ardingly College, built in approximately 1860, and the South of England Showground. The eastern element of the village has a pretty High Street with cottages lining the road while the western part is centred around St Peter’s Church which dates from Norman times.
