Description: The small village of Bodiam is situated in the picturesque Rother Valley. It is dominated by the 14th century moated castle which is owned by the National Trust. The castle is the Trust's most popular attraction in South East England, drawing around 160,000 visitors each year. Bodiam is also the last stop on the Kent and East Sussex Railway line which starts at Tenterden. The village has it's own primary school and private preparatory school, a public house, but no shop or post office.
