Dave and Sally have built a wonderful new house in the High Weald on the site of an old barn, using as many local materials as they can.The heart of the house is a wood fueled burner, which provides all their heating needs and hot water via a thermal store, as well as cooking great pizzas!

The outside of the house is cladded with locally grown chestnut weatherboard and the walls are insulated to an exacting standard with sheep's wool.
