High Weald

hwh_schoolgroundskitTeachers seeking help with using their school grounds as a teaching and learning resource are being offered training by the Kent High Weald Partnership (KHWP) in conjunction with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and the High Weald Joint Advisory Committee.

The training is on offer to 6 local schools and demonstrates a range of cross curricular environmental education activities. It gives teachers ideas for delivering exciting and stimulating outdoor learning activities, like minibeast hunts and habitat games, on a regular basis.

To help all schools explore their school grounds, a loanable environmental education tool kit has been put together, containing all the equipment and information required to run a session with a class.

The kit contains a number of activity ideas, identification cards, 5 sweep nets, 5 pond dipping nets, deep specimen trays and magnifying pots for closer inspection of what you find!

The kit is available for FREE hire to all schools in the High Weald.

For more information and to hire the kit contact Saul Fajerman at the Kent High Weald Partnership T: 01580 212972 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
